Bennet Omalu, M.D.
Dr. Bennet Omalu holds four board certifications in Anatomic Pathology, Clinical Pathology, Forensic Pathology and Neuropathology. He also holds a Masters in Public Health [MPH] in Epidemiology and a Masters in Business Administration [MBA] from the Tepper School of Business, Carnegie Mellon University. Dr. Omalu is a fellow of the American Association of Physician Leadership, is board-certified in Medical Management and is a Certified Physician Executive. He has received three honorary doctorate degrees in addition to numerous other awards across the world. In 2017 Dr. Omalu received the “The Distinguished Service Award”, which is the highest award of the American Medical Association. Dr. Omalu has published many scientific papers, books and book chapters and his work and life have been featured across the world across all media platforms including award winning books, documentaries and in a Hollywood movie, “Concussion” in which Will Smith played Dr. Omalu. He lives in Sacramento, California with his wife and two children.
