Robert W. Purvis, Jr., M.D. 

Dr. Purvis joined YPMG in 1976. He obtained his medical degree at the University of California, San Francisco and enjoyed a rotating internship at Gorgas Hospital in the Panama Canal Zone. He completed his Anatomic and Clinical Pathology Residency at the University of California, La Jolla where he was Chief Resident his last year. Dr. Purvis is Board certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology.

Phillip H. Deos, M.D.

Dr. Deos joined YPMG in 1981. He obtained his medical degree at the University of Vermont College of Medicine in Burlington, Vermont. Dr. Deos completed his residency in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology at the University of California, Davis. Dr. Deos is Board certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology.
 
Rick R. Baier, M.D.

Dr. Baier joined YPMG in 1982. He obtained his medical degree at the University of California, Davis and did his internship in medicine at the Wadsworth VA Hospital in West Los Angeles. He did his residency in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology at the University of California, Davis. He is Board certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology and has particular interest in fine needle aspiration cytology, dermatopathology and coagulation disorders.   

Avtarinder K. Nijjar, M.D.

Dr. Nijjar joined YPMG in 1982. She obtained her medical degree at the AFMC in Poona, India and completed her residency in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology at Cedars Sinai Medical Center, Los Angeles, California. Dr. Nijjar is Board certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology.

Harvey C. Chang, M.D. 

Dr. Chang joined YPMG in 1997. He obtained his medical degree at the National Taiwan University College of Medicine in Taipei, Taiwan.   Dr. Chang completed his Anatomic and Clinical Pathology Residency at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and a fellowship in Research at Jefferson Cancer Institute in Philadelphia. He also completed a fellowship in Dermatopathology at the Institute for Dermatopathology, Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Dr. Chang is Board certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology and Dermatopathology.

Marigold J. Ardron, M.D.

Dr. Ardron joined YPMG in 1997. She obtained her medical degree at Loma Linda University School of Medicine, Riverside, California and completed her residency in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology at Loma Linda University Medical Center, Riverside, California. Dr. Ardron is Board certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology. 

Shijun (John) Cui, M.D.

Dr. Cui joined YPMG in 2003. He obtained his medical degree at Beijing Medical University, Beijing, China and completed his residency in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology at UMDNJ-New Jersey Medical School in Newark, New Jersey. Dr. Cui completed a Cytopathology fellowship at the Montefiore Medical Center, Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Bronx, New York. He is Board certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology as well as Cytopathology.

Anthony R. Victorio, M.D.

Dr. Victorio joined YPMG in 2007. He obtained his medical degree at Loma Linda University School of Medicine, Loma Linda, California and completed his residency in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology at Loma Linda University Medical Center. Dr. Victorio completed a fellowship in Hematopathology at LAC-USC Medical Center, Los Angeles, California. Dr. Victorio is Board certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology as well as Hematopathology.

Emad Kaabipour, M.D.

Dr. Kaabipour joined YPMG in 2008.   He obtained his medical degree at the American University of The Caribbean School of Medicine in Coral Gables, Florida. Dr. Kaabipour completed his residency in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology at the University of Missouri, Truman Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri and at Pennsylvania Hospital, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He completed a fellowship in Surgical Pathology at Pennsylvania Hospital, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and Rhode Island Hospital/Brown University. Dr. Kaabipour is Board certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology.

Curtis R. Strong, M.D.

Dr. Strong joined YPMG in 2008. He obtained his medical degree at the Medical College of Wisconsin, Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Dr. Strong completed his residency in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology at the University of California, San Diego and a fellowship in Placental Pathology at the University of California, San Diego.   In addition, he completed a fellowship in Surgical Pathology at the University of California, San Diego. Dr. Strong is Board certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology.

Sepideh Maftoun-Banankhah, M.D.

Dr. Banankhah joined YPMG in 2010. She obtained her medical degree at the Shiraz University of Medical Science in Iran . She completed a residency in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology at Shiraz University of Medicine and at UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas. In addition, she completed a fellowship in Cytopathology at UT Southwestern Medical Center . Dr. Banankhah is Board certified in Anatomic, Clinical Pathology and Cytopathology.

Deepak Mohan, M.D.

Dr. Mohan joined YPMG in 2010. He obtained his medical degree at Sri Ramachandra Medical College and Research Institute in Chennai, India. He completed his residency at University of Pittsburgh Medical Center in Pennsylvania. Additionally, Dr. Mohan completed a fellowship in Surgical Pathology at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, California. Dr. Mohan is Board certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology.
